Tired Girl

So, I’m going to write this post and then call it a night since I was up until 330am this morning and only got 3 hours of sleep before I had to get up again.

I didn’t write about my day yesterday but other than it was a great food and water day, there pretty much was nothing to report. I did weigh in at 168.4lbs and was pleasantly surprised that I wasn’t back up to 175lbs, and to be sure…I weighed myself half a dozen times, including weighing myself with the cat, weights, etc to ensure the scale was working, lol.

This morning the scale read 167.2lbs which is why I like lowcarb – you see imediate number drops on the scale, though they may be water weight, it is still a pick me up to see the scale go down you know? Food was great again today I just finished a nice big green salad with chicken a breast, yum! Water is at 7cups again so I am pleased and I was going to go for the Pier4 walk but I am tired and as noted earlier, no exercise pressure this week.

Today at work I had the human resource manager calculate my vacation days left, I knew that i had been eating them up last week with getting sick and wanted an idea if I still had enough to go on vacation, maybe take a look at
Condo Hotels. Ever stayed in one of these? I did back in 1989 – a friend of mine’s father rented it for her and I, another friend and himself when we had to attend court. Since the court was going to pay for our travel and hotel room, we pooled our allotment and stayed in a really nice condo. It was absolutely amazing and I will never forget that place :)

So yeah, I was checking to see if I could go on vacation if I wanted to later on this year. I have eaten up 7 of my 13 days so far this year, holy cow! I have no more sick/appt days left so I have to be careful, I don’t want to use up anymore vacation days for sick days, only got 6 left!

Baseball tomorrow! We all now have team shirts :) A tad tight in the boobage area, but maybe that will distract the other team enough for us to win :P

It’s interesting reading your blog because you are going low carb. I think I could do that. What are you having along with your protein in place of say rice, potatoes or pasta?

well, you know we need to see a picture in the baseball shirt now that you’ve described it like that…LOL

I would love to chat with you, because I started a low glycemic index diet last Saturday, and I’ve already lost five pounds! I am so excited to be eating, be FULL, and still be losing weight!

I thought Teena’s question was interesting because contrary to what some diet plans will tell you, you CAN eat rice, potatoes and pasta! Brown rice is better than white because of the fiber, but as long as it is not sticky rice (like the kind at Chinese restaurants), it will not raise your blood sugar. Boiled new potatoes are best, baked and fried ones have had the sugars in the potato turned to starch. I was surprised to find that even white flour pasta is low g.i. as long as it is cooked just until al dente. So you can EAT! And still lose weight!

Hey Elizabeth :) I do lowcarb because it limits the food I can have in the house, lol. I love carbs so even eating a bit of rice or potatoes here and there could make me eat more than I should. I am not about to binge on chicken, fish, steak, salad and green veggies so low carb works for me as long as I don’t start adding a weeky treat which is what happened last time. Good luck with the GI diet though :)

LOL, I’m not sure that will happen soon, maybe the end of summer when I’ve lost a bit more weight :)
