I don’t know if this is the same as in the US but a weight loss supplement was recalled here in Canada by the name of Hydroxycut after reports linking some of them to cases of serious liver damage and at least one death. I know I would love a quick fix to my weight issues, however death is not my answer nor do I think it was the makers of Hydroxycut. I wonder how long these pills were tested for before being put on the market? Are they still available in the US or was it just a warning?

The product has been recalled in the US too…scary stuff. I’ve seen quite a few people taking them at the gym over the years.

Hi,
I’m sooooo in the same boat as you. I found your blog by accident and will be an avid reader.
Glad to hear that Hydroxycut is recalled. All that stuff is dangerous. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Acai. It’s a very popular natural health remedy that happens to have a side effect of upping metabolism. NO side effects which is great.
Good luck…I’ll be with you on this journey.

I’m pretty sure that’s the one that Anna Nicole Smith touted. Maybe it had something to do with her death, poor thing.
