Next weekend is a long weekend and I’m looking forward to it. It is our Thanksgiving. Unlike the US who has Black Friday and Cyber Monday around their Thanksgiving holiday, ours is just that…a holiday.
The only day I can think of that would be similar to these two days is our Boxing Day. Stores open, although it is generally illegal to do so to bring in the customers to clear out all the overstock. It used to be lots of people would line up in the wee hours of the morning waiting for the stores to open but now with the advent of the internet…people just wait for the online sales to hit that day and shop from the comfort of their homes.
I generally just used the day to sleep in and clear my lungs of smoke having spent the previous day with my relatives who most smoke like chimneys, lol.
