I was at Walmart on Saturday and truthfuly I was looking for an eye cream but couldn’t fathom paying $25-$30 for a jar or tube. I don’t have eye wrinkles yet, but I think as I approach 40 with increasing speed (156 more sleeps), I am looking for the fountain of youth.
As I was looking in the skin care section I ran across the Pure line by Garnier and after much debate picked up the Shine Control moisturizer.
For Garnier Pure Shine Control Moisturizer, Garnier created a unique formula using natural active ingredients carefully selected for their specific properties: white clay for its absorbency, zinc for its controlling effect, 100% natural cucumber extract for its skin-hydrating qualities, and salicylic acid for its purifying power. The result is an ultra-efficient moisturizer that’ll answer all of your oily skin problems.
I have very oily skin in the spring/summer and I hate it. I have tried other products including mattifying concealer, foundation, etc but nothing really did was it said it would do.
But this? LOVE, LOVE, love it. Moments after putting it on I can feel the difference in my skin. Mind you, I’ve only been using it for 3 day so far but it gets my skin to around 3pm until it starts oiling itself up again.
So far it is a thumbs up :)

Exercise and good genes are the fountain of youth.

I look at least 10 years younger than my actual age.

Turning 40 for me was not such a big deal. I think I was more mortified turning 35. Saying that, this past year I bought into the whole skin care regime and religiously use Clinique skin care products for everything, plus antiwrinkle and stuff for the eyes. It must work as I have been complimented on my skin since then. I always saw men skin care as something more for gay men or metrosexuals. Straight men like me dont use skin care, or so i thought. Whatever… LOL If it makes you feel good. Do it. Well, if its not illegal of course. =)

I think the oily skin is the key to not having wrinkles yet. I too have oily skin and at 41 have no crows feet or noticeable furrows/laugh lines. The payoff of oily skin and spf all of my life! I am going to look for that product though – I hope they have it here in the U.S. I haven’t seen it thus far.
